Up until recently, Pinterest measurement has been a challenge. One of the advantages of Facebook over Pinterest was that it had Facebook insights for measurement of statistics, a facility that Pinterest was lacking. Many people turned to external applications such as Pinnerly to measure Pinterest success, but still called for inbuilt Pinterest analytics or statistics.
Pinterest Analytics Announced Today
Today, Pinterest announced the launch of Pinterest Analytics. You will be able to find out the most popular content, how many people have pinned your content, and more! Very exciting! This has also been announced alongside a new design, which looks like this…
If you have either a business account or a personal account with a verified website, you will be able to get early access to Pinterests new look and explore Pinterest analytics. Pinterest analytics makes it easier to see where your pins are coming from.
If you have not yet verified your website on Pinterest, find out how to do that by following this link. If you have verified your website, there will be a check mark next to your web address.
To access Pinterest analytics, go to your menu at the top right and click on analytics. The site metrics page has four graphs that measure pins repins, impressions and clicks. Actions are shown in blue and people are shown orange. You can change the view according to your chosen date range, or do a quick select for the last 7, 14 or 30 days. You can export the data as a CSV file and use it in a spreadsheet if that is helpful.
Remember to use the data wisely – if certain pins are successful, do more of them! You can clearly see which ones are being repinned the most on the site metrics tab, and you can learn about what caused this to happen.
