It’s important to get found online of course, but you want to do it in the right way. You don’t want to move up the Google Rankings through underhand, black hat techniques. That’s why white label SEO is important. It’s going about SEO in the right way – keeping up to date with the Google algorithms and abiding by Google guidelines. After all, no-one wants their site penalised by Google! But first, what is SEO?

What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the process of increasing the quality and quantity of traffic to your website through organic search engine results. SEO also refers to the improvement of organic results and excludes the purchase of paid placement. Search Engine Optimization targets different kinds of searches including image search, video search, news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

SEO provides your business with numerous advantages. With the improvement of SEO, your appearance on the search engines also expands. This helps you gain more potential customers. By creating engaging and effective SEO-friendly content, you can increase your chances of bringing in more targeted organic traffic to your site.

As well as businesses SEO is helpful for charitable organisations – see this resource on SEO for non-profits.

What is White Label SEO?

Under White Label SEO, two companies with SEO resources form an agreement to share the responsibilities in sales and marketing of a product. White Label SEO is sometimes also called the ‘SEO Reseller Program’. A White Label SEO services provider is a skilled SEO expert who delivers the best search engine results on different search engines like Google and Bing.

White Label SEO companies provide SEO services and SEO software for other digital marketing agencies and for clients. Some of the top white label SEO companies are SEO Reseller, HubShout, The Hoth, eBrandz and Posirank. White label SEO companies know what they are doing in terms of avoiding ‘Black hat techniques’ or Google no-nos! They will achieve success by focussing on tow areas – on page SEO and off page SEO.

On Page SEO – Involves optimising content so that it ranks on Google this could involve adding meta descriptions, keyword density and images with alt tags. This is usually done by Yoast on WordPress but is possible on all platforms.

Off page SEO involves link building and this should be done organically. This means doing a lot of blogger outreach and guest blogging relevant content ib other people’s sites and earning natural backlinks in the process. It is time consuming but very successful when it is done right.

What are Black Hat Techniques?

Black Hat SEO refers to the aggressive use of SEO strategies, techniques and tactics that focus only on search engines and not the human audience. It doesn’t usually obey search engine guidelines.  Black Hat SEO is mostly used by those who are seeking a quick financial return on their website rather than a long term investment on their website. Black Hat SEO is also referred to as unethical SEO or spamdexing and may result in your website being restrained from a search engine.

Here’re some risky Black Hat SEO Techniques that may de-index your website on search engines and hence should be avoided.  These are techniques that White label SEO companies will know to avoid…

Keyword Stuffing

Keyword stuffing backfires when they stuff a page with keywords rather than strategically putting them across the content. So it’s really important to choose and fill the right keywords on your webpage. Moreover, stuffing is against Google’s ranking guidelines and it also harms the webpage’s readability.

So always do relevant keyword research before placing keywords. You can use free online tools to do keyword research.

Duplicate Content

Copying content from other sites and posting it on yours refers to plagiarized content and Google identifies it quickly. If Google’s consistently crawling spiders once find the duplicate content, they de-index it immediately. Gone are the days of SEO when copied content would not damage your site that bad. But now, plagiarized content will hamper your site’s ranking in a blink of an eye.

To fix the situation, there are many plagiarism detectors available on the Internet and you can check whether your content is plagiarized or not before publishing it on your website/webpage.

Also, you can use the citation for the information you gather from external sources.

Spam Comments

You must have witnessed the situation where a newly submitted comment on your website turns out to be a spammer’s useless message and a completely non-related promotional link.

Spam comments are created to create free backlinks and it is one of most prevailing black hat practices. Moreover, they are not always done manually but by various tools available, which automatically scatter spam comments across the web.

If your blog is open for commenting for all, with no reCAPTCHA, sooner or later you are going to get spam comments that will leave a negative impression on the users and degrade the quality of their user experience.

To prevent spam comments, you should wait and approve the comments after filtering out the spam using blocking plugins.

Cloaking

Cloaking is a fraudulent way of using two sets of information. One is written for the search engines to rank and the second one is for the users. Cloaking is carried out to improve search engine rankings by misleading the search engine robots. For example if you clicked on one of the search results for the query ‘best florist in town’ but instead of leading you to a page filled with images or information about florists, the result leads you to a spammy movie downloading website.

According to Google, cloaking is a violation of Google Webmaster’s Guidelines. And, Google penalizes such cloaked websites by de-ranking and de-indexing them.

Clickbait

Clickbait is a form of false advertisement that uses a thumbnail link that is designed to grab attention. It is an eye-catching and deceitful headline written with the sole purpose of making you click on it. It says one thing in the headline and another thing on the website. Sometimes, it gives expressions to tempt you such as ‘Shocking’, ‘Important news about..’, ‘You won’t believe..’ and so on. This misleading technique will decrease your CPR and isn’t good for your site in the long run.

Usually, those who use Clickbait want to generate income based on the number of clicks. For example, if you are using this as a title: ‘Don’t Use These Black Hat SEO Techniques To Get Traffic To Your Site’, your article should have relevant information related to your title.

So make justified Clickbait titles that are real and not fake. The titles used for your articles must include relevant information related to the article.

Conclusion

Using black hat SEO techniques to drive traffic to your website isn’t advisable because eventually those sites will come under Google’s tracking system and get penalized. The aim is to be an SEO practitioner of evergreen content that remains valid over time and always attracts new readers!
