Some say that reading books isn’t relevant when it comes to Marketing. However, Andrew Macarthy proves that this is not the case. In fact, 500 Social Media Marketing Tips is a great book to have around the office for a marketing company, as well as for businesses.

Social Media is a key tool in today’s marketing strategies. There are millions of business and personal accounts on Twitter and Facebook. Unlike other marketing skills, social media is about connecting with your customers on a very personal level. Andrew is keen to explore this within the book. From tips such as ‘post consistently and often’ to ‘launch a competition on Twitter’ Andrew understands the world of social media from a customers point of view as well as businesses.

500 Social Media Marketing Tips is clear-cut and informative. The layout is easy to navigate, with sections on Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, Google+, Linkedin etc. This would be a great book if you have no idea what a tweet is or what to blog about. It is also a great book to have in a marketing companies office, a reference and guide to refer back to when dealing with clients.

The great thing about this book is that Andrew gives free book updates forever! The world of social media marketing is fast paced and ever changing, and free updates mean that you can keep on top of the changes.

All in all, this book is great. It’s easy to sit and read all the way through, or as a reference book. I would definitely recommend it.
